Learn about CBD muscle balm

We produce our CBD balms, sometimes called CBD ointments, in our UK laboratory using our organically grown CBD and a beautiful blend of essential oils. Customers use CBD balms for sore muscles, aches and pains.

Hemp balm is sometimes used as a pseudonym for CBD balm but not all hemp balm contains CBD. Meanwhile, if you’re looking forhemp cream or CBD cream then check out our other award-winning products.

Our CBD muscle balm comes in a choice of 500mg or 1000mg CBD, depending on your needs. Tried and tested, this product delivers targeted CBD pain relief to sore muscles and can be great for inflammation or recovery. The thick and creamy CBD muscle balm also provides a moisturising after-effect. As with all of our topical products, our muscle balm absorbs into the skin quickly and effectively, giving you fast pain relief. Some customers describe this as a CBD tiger balm.

Dosage for CBD balms

Our CBD balms, sometimes referred to as CBD ointment, is available in 500mg or 1000mg CBD strengths. These are concentrations not volume – so we have the 50ml CBD balm in both 500mg (medium strength) and 1000mg (maximum strength) versions.

For more information, including on dosage for CBD pain cream, read our CBD dosage guide or contact us.

How to use CBD muscle balm

A pea-sized amount is good for a smaller muscle area such as the forearm or upper trapezius for shoulder or neck pain. Scaling this up for a larger area such as a thigh or back. The strength of balm will determine the CBD that your skin can absorb, with the maximum strength CBD balm being twice as strong. If you aren’t experiencing enough relief, try using more balm or purchasing a higher strength.

CBD Balms FAQs

Are CBD Balms better for aches than oil?
Depends on your circumstances. Our CBD muscle balm is great at tackling localised, predictable aches in joints and muscles. However, if you experience wider-spread, inconsistent aches, we recommend you use our ingestible CBD products, or a combination of CBD oils and CBD balms. Whatever you choose, make sure to record your CBD dosage and its effects so you can optimise your CBD experience.
Our CBD balms are free from any unwanted hemp compounds, our CBD products are guaranteed to be over 99.9% pure thanks to our seed-to-shelf model. Used as a supplement or wellness agent, CBD is considered safe and we use quality ingredients in all of our topical CBD products. We’d always recommend checking the product ingredients or contacting us for more information.
Using CBD products that are applied to the skin, does not cause the CBD to enter your bloodstream, meaning it will not show up on a drug test. In general, using high-quality THC-free products should not cause you to fail a drug test, but we would always advise doing your own research.
We use ingredients from cruelty-free suppliers and we do not test any of our products on animals whatsoever. High-quality ingredients go in to all of our skincare products and we craft them ourselves at our laboratory in York Science Park using 100% vegan ingredients.
We always advise to consult your doctor if have concerns about using CBD while on medication.
